Gemma and Tim's glorious wedding took place at the Dairy on the Waddesdon Estate in Buckinghamshire.

I initially met Gemma and Tim at a wedding fair last year, at the time they were still looking for a wow venue that ticked all the boxes for their special day. I made a few suggestions, one of those was the Dairy at Waddesdon, I'm pleased to report that they fell in love with what is also one of my absolute favourite venues! On the day they added a good measure of warm sunny conditions,  a lovely selection of their closet family and friends from both Australia and the UK, and then lots of delicious food and drink to set the stage for one amazing and really great fun wedding!

Gemma and Tim had a wonderful surprise for their guests on the day, they decided to secretly arrange for an adorable barn owl to fly their wedding rings down the aisle during their lakeside ceremony. Weddings have certainly become more and more unique over the years, though this was a first for me too. The most tricky aspect for me was that there were no second chances to capture this on camera, the owl would make its flight with the rings in the blink of an eye! I was so pleased with the image that you see below - that was probably the most difficult picture I've captured this year - the light was constantly changing - there was no warning when the owl would take flight either - and I didn't dare blink!

Here are some of the pictures from their special day, plus the lovely messages I've received from Gemma and Tim:

Wow! The photos are just glorious! I have just finished looking through them properly this morning. Thank you!  Gemma

When Gemma and I started planning our wedding, hiring Mark Sisley was one of the first choices we made, even before choosing a venue - his professionalism and wide range of photographic experience made him an obvious choice.  In the lead-up to our wedding, he was accessible and communicated clearly, and on the day itself he was unobtrusive yet efficient, able to get all the photos we wanted without taking up too much of our time.  We were stunned by the incredible photos he took, and they will be a valued keepsake of our special day. Regards, Tim

Enjoy your week!
