Laura and Steve's glorious blue sky wedding took place at the Dairy on the Waddesdon Estate. Going back twelve years, Steve worked for me as my wedding assistant.  In fact, in the eight years we worked together we visited over 100 wedding venues in the Home Counties, and during his time working for me we attended over 50 weddings at the Dairy alone!  So when it came to looking for a venue for their special day, the Dairy was the first port of call, and as Steve expected, Laura fell instantly in love with the magical lakeside Victorian buildings and setting.

I was flattered when Steve and Laura asked me to capture their wedding photographs.  Steve is now the sixth former assistant whose wedding I've photographed over the years!

Steve's father has a long musical pedigree, and his brass band and Dixieland jazz band have performed throughout the UK for over 40 years.  When Steve said his father had arranged for two different bands to attend on the day, I knew their guests would be in for a treat, and they were not disappointed as much of the day's celebration was accompanied by amazing live music from top musicians!

Steve and Laura allotted plenty of time for portraits of the two of them together.  The light throughout the day was truly sensational, and I was determined to use it!  We took two separate trips up to the main manor house, once during the day and then returning for wonderful dusk photographs at sundown.  The dusk shots are probably my favourite pictures from the day, created with additional floodlighting to illuminate the building and the newlyweds.

Laura and Steve are fun, vibrant, joyous people with a lovely circle of friends and family.  Laura looked sensational in her stunning full flowing Justin Alexander wedding gown, and her non-stop smiles were very infectious and made my job so easy!   I'm so glad the sun came out on their special day!

Thank you for asking me to document your special day!

Enjoy your week!
