MISSENDEN ABBEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Carly and Matt were married in my local parish church in Coleshill, Bucks; if it wasn't for the car journey afterwards to Missenden Abbey I could have walked to the wedding!

Carly arrived at the church with her son in a lovely convertible Morris Minor; her high spirits before the service with beaming smiles made for some great natural pictures as she approached and entered the church. Matt was in a very relaxed mood too after joining his best man and ushers in the local village pub just before the service for a calming dram. As you can see from the pictures kilts were the order of the day for the lads, whilst Carly chose a beautifully flowing full length traditional wedding gown.

The weather was a little changeable during the church service, and I didn't want to risk all the wedding guests getting a soaking so we opted to take the family pictures inside the church after the ceremony. Coleshill parish church has wonderful vaulted high ceilings and stained glass windows, which was perfect for group pictures whilst keeping everyone warm and dry.

On arrival at Missenden Abbey the weather conditions improved dramatically, so it was drinks on the lawns and plenty of great picture opportunities. I stayed right through until the evening's dancing capturing all the necessary family poses, tears, emotions and fun aspects of the day. Probably the most memorable part of the day for me was Carly's young son making his speech; there was barely a dry eye amongst the wedding guests as he delivered his emotional speech! This wedding was so nice to attend, everyone was so friendly, and Carly and Matt were so appreciative of my work.

My favourite pictures from the day are of Carly and Matt in the cobbled summerhouse at Missenden Abbey.

Don't forget to come and see my work at the The Dairy wedding fair, Waddesdon Manor on Sunday 13th October. This is always such an excellent event for couples planning their big day, there are usually about 25 suppliers exhibiting on the day. The Dairy is one truly amazing lakeside venue; why not take a look at my gallery of the venue.

Enjoy your week!
